Supplies for Free Earth Day Hats
This great activity may be as easy as it gets, as far as supplies go for these fun paper crowns, you only need a couple of things!
- Printer
- White Cardstock or Regular Printer Paper – I recommend using cardstock for durability and especially if your child wants to paint their crown.
- Crayons, Markers, or Coloring Pencils
- Any additional craft supplies you may want to use, such as stickers, glitter, paint, etc.
- Stapler or Tape
How to Make Earth Day Crown Craft Printable
- Print free template
- Gather all your supplies for your craft hat.
- Allow your child to color the crown and customize it.
- Then you or your child use scissors to cut out all the pieces.
- Use a stapler or tape to attach ends.
- Use the crown to measure around your child’s head and fit the correct size to make sure the crown fits before attaching the other ends together.
Now you’re ready to party in Earth Day style with your cute crowns.

Earth Day Projects for the Family

- If you don’t already have a recycling bin in your home, set one up! We use a couple of plastic tall laundry hampers in our garage. It’s been a great way for our kids to be active in recycling.
- Drop off items like plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, etc at your local recycling center. This is an easy and simple way to explain how the recycling system works.
