Faqs

Each week consists of 3 days of activities. All pages are numbered and listed within the lesson plan in the back of the journal to make this an open-and-go journal.

Day 1: Includes the uppercase and lowercase letter for the week that can be colored, used with dot markers, playdough, or craft supplies. Next is a page for the number of the week. Lastly, is a read aloud book suggestion for the corresponding letter/animal of the week.

Day 2: Includes pages for the letter of the week and the number of the week. There are links for creature videos for the corresponding letter/animal of the week to watch with your child.

Day 3: Includes pages for the letter of the week and the number of the week. In the back of the journal are 26 pages of nature walks. Everything from the backyard to the zoo, to the park and for each season. Your child can choose from any of these to do for the week.

This journal is geared towards ages 3-6 depending on your child’s development. If your child is showing interest in learning the alphabet, numbers, wanting to use a pencil, needs a little structure to the day, or simply wants their own journal to be like their older siblings this journal is for your child!

The activities are meant to keep your child engaged, but your relationship will grow and develop through read aloud time and nature walks.
