What is Thrive Market?
Thrive Market is a membership-based online grocery store with options for natural products, organic food, and more. Thrive Market offers food items, vitamins, bath and beauty products, and household items delivered to your door at discounted prices. This online marketplace is a great option if you don’t have local health food stores, have a dietary restriction, or if you’re just looking for more natural foods.
How Thrive Market Works
Thrive Market is membership-based. When purchasing your membership, there are two membership options. You can choose the monthly membership at $12.00 or $59.95 for annually, which breaks down the cost to only $5.00 a month!
Once your membership is set up you can begin shopping by downloading the app to your smart device or by shopping from a laptop or desktop. The app is simple and easy to use. You can search for specific products, check out deals, and browse by aisles, diets, or brands. The “diet” tab will display items for gluten-free, paleo, raw, vegan, vegetarian, ketogenic, AIP (autoimmune protocol), low FODMAP, organic, and whole-30 compatible.

Why I Joined Thrive Market
I was on the fence for a long time about whether or not to become a Thrive Market member. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the cost, if it even saved more money than other grocery store prices, and what the catch would be to it all. But I’ve now had a membership for about 3 years and I’ve not been disappointed!
My top reason for joining was that I needed access to healthy food products that I wasn’t able to find at our local grocery store. At one time we needed to switch to a gluten-free and dairy-free diet and I also did a year of AIP (autoimmune protocol diet) when my strictly breastfeed son developed eczema at just a few months old. If you’re interested, you can read more about our journey with eczema.
Also, we’re at least an hour or more away from places like Trader Joe’s, Costco, and Whole Foods, so Thrive Market was and still is the best way to get the best products for my family.
Honest Thrive Market Review
I don’t have to tell you how busy life is, I’m sure you already know. And if you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for ways you can simplify your life. Thrive Market can bring that simplicity and convenience to your life as it has mine. And here’s why:
- You can’t beat the $5 membership cost if you purchase the yearly membership option!
- You can order as often as you want. Sometimes I might order every week, then skip a month…it doesn’t matter. You can order whatever works best for you!
- There is the option to set up auto-ship on the things you never want to run out of! And it’s customizable. So if you need to skip an item you can. If you need to add an item you can. If you need to change the date you can. BONUS, when you set up an auto-ship order you save even more!
- There are tons of options for diet-specific items.
- Usually always ships within 24 hours and straight to your door!
- You can create and save lists to find your favorite items quickly.
As a wife and mother to 5, I love having easy access to natural, organic products! And let’s be honest, anything that’s only $5 a month and comes straight to my door in just a day or two is a winner!
Other Grocery Items
If it’s not obvious, well I’ll just say it, I love Thrive Market! It has been so helpful for our family. The most FAQ I’ve had is, is it worth it? It’s possible it might not be a good fit for your family if you have access to a larger grocery store that carries more natural items or diet-specific items. But considering we don’t have that as an option this has been a lifesaver! Thrive Market does carry some frozen foods and meats as well, but we mostly buy our meats from local farmers and for everything else, I go to Aldi usually once a week or so. Recently, I started ordering from Azure Standard as well for bulk items, like 25 lbs of all-purpose flour (where are my sourdough people at?)
