How to Use This Cute Printable Checklist
Now you know how much this checklist can help you simplify and organize your life. If you’re unsure how to get started and how to make the most of this cute printable checklist, I’ll break it down step-by-step below.
Fill in Your Categories
After printing your checklist, begin by filling in your categories. Examples might be daily house chores, decluttering, work, or homeschooling. These categories should be larger tasks that you can break down into smaller categories in the next step.
Fill in Your Tasks
It might be helpful to start with a brain dump on a separate sheet of paper to get all those tasks out of your head. When you know what needs to be accomplished, you can list items under the proper categories. Using the examples above, under the house chores category, you could include cleaning the bathroom, dusting, and a load of laundry. Under decluttering, you might have a junk drawer and a laundry room closet listed. These tasks should be ordered from the top priorities to the least. Remember, only list as many things as you can get completed, or use this checklist for an entire week.
Keep it Visible
After you have filled in your categories and tasks, keep your list in a place that is visible to you. This might be on your desk, in the command center area, or on the refrigerator. You need to be able to see your list throughout the day. If your list is not visible, you may forget about it again and become distracted, leading you right back to where you began.
Begin With One Task at a Time
Start with your most urgent task under the first category and then move on to the next. Check boxes as you complete tasks. If a task feels daunting and you need help with time management, try setting a timer for 15-20 minutes for that task. Take a break and return to it later; this will help you keep a positive outlook. Another tip to help you complete tasks is to listen to uplifting music, a podcast, or an audiobook.
Celebrate Your Progress
Don’t forget the best part: it’s important to celebrate your progress! Make an iced coffee or grab a poppy drink – two of my favorite things to enjoy after accomplishing some tasks!
We shouldn’t be constantly overwhelmed and stressed! With this cute printable checklist, you’ll say goodbye to stress and overwhelm! You’ll get your weekly tasks done and have fun celebrating your victories! Organizing your tasks, checking off the boxes, and seeing real progress will fuel your motivation to keep going!
