How to Make Free Printable Valentine’s Day Banner
- First, download the free Valentine’s Day Banner as explained earlier.
- If you plan to laminate you can print on regular printer paper. But if you’re not laminating you can print on white card stock to make it more durable.
- If you want to have your banner laminated, go ahead and laminate the pages now.
- Next, cut out each pendant following the gray outer lines. You can use scissors or if you have access to a paper cutter that works best for smooth, straight lines.
- Once you have all the pendants cut, hole punch the two top corners of each pendant.
- Then weave your yarn or string through each hole. To display the banner correctly, you will begin the yarn down in the first hole on a pendant and then up through the second hole on the same pendant. Repeat the process until each pendant is on the yarn.
- Finally, you’re ready to hang your Valentine’s Day Banner! You can either tie the ends of the banner to whatever you’re displaying it on or use tape to hang it up.
Tips for Making Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Banner
- Laminating will increase the durability of this banner and you can store it for years to come. But it is optional as cardstock will work well too.
- Hole punch your first pendant and then line it up with the next pendant to hole punch. This will help keep all of the hole punches even.
- This banner prints on standard 8 ½ X 11 paper. There are 4 pendants per page, however, there are only 2 pattern designs. While you’re stringing your pendants be sure to alternate the pendants to make a pattern. You’ll notice we didn’t pay attention in the photo below.
Additional Ways to Hang Your Valentine’s Banner
I love using mini clothespins to hang papers in our schoolroom. If you want to use this option, skip the hole punching, hang whatever string you’re using, and then hang with mini clothespins. But if you really want to step up your Valentine decoration game, grab these heart clothespins!
Where to Hang Your Free Printable Valentine’s Day Banner
Because this banner is sweet and simple you can display it anywhere! We love decorating our homeschool room, so we usually display our banner on one of our shelves. But you could use this free printable banner just about anywhere!
- Living room mantle
- Any empty wall space
- Kitchen island
- Chalkboard
