Thanksgiving Hats

This bundle includes 3 fun hats for your child to choose from or use them all! Each free template includes black and white outlined images ready to be colored. There are also additional bands for each so you’re able to get the perfect size. I’m all about easy crafts and the best part about these free printable templates is they are so easy to decorate, cut, and assemble! Yet, it’s still a great activity for your child to work on some fine motor skills and have fun while doing it.

Thankful Turkey Hat

This free Thanksgiving hat features a happy turkey wearing a pilgrim hat and “I’m Thankful For…” displayed on the front of the band. The back of the band has fun fall images of pumpkins and leaves. A fun way to use this turkey hat template is to have your child add something they are thankful for on each feather of the turkey!

Pilgrim Hat

This pilgrim hat is ready for your child to pretend to be a pilgrim. The front includes a traditional pilgrim hat with “Happy Thanksgiving” on the band. The back of the band and the additional band strips include pumpkins, pies, and leaves.

Native American Hat

The Native American hat features tribal patterns on the bands and feathers to cut and glue to the band. Another fun option would be to use store bought feathers to replace the paper feathers.

Supplies for Printable Thanksgiving Hats

  • Crayons, markers, coloring pencils, or watercolor paints
  • Pair of scissors
  • Stapler
  • Glue stick
  • Optional materials like glitter, googly eyes, feathers, and any other craft supplies your child may be interested in using to personalize their printable hats.

Step-By-Step Instructions to Assemble

  • Print out one or all of the hats.
  • Color and decorate hats however your child chooses.
  • Cut out bands and the front of the hats.
  • Staple the front of the hat to one band, measure around your child’s head, add additional band strips as needed for correct size and attach strips to the other side of the hat with the stapler.
  • If using the Native American hat you will need to glue the feathers onto the inside of the headband.
