  • Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk or Sweetened Condensed Milk – I have been using sweetened condensed coconut milk to make caramel for the last few years and trust me, it’s amazing! Even if you don’t like coconut, I promise you won’t know it’s coconut! I purchase from Thrive Market. But you can also use your favorite regular sweetened condensed milk.
  • Coconut Sugar or Brown Sugar (optional) – Coconut sugar is a healthier alternative to brown sugar, but if you have brown sugar on hand you can use it too!
  • Pure Pumpkin Puree – For that real pumpkin flavor, be sure you don’t use pumpkin pie filling. And for the best pumpkin flavor you need to use an actual pumpkin puree, real pumpkin puree! If you really want to make this homemade, try this homemade pumpkin puree recipe.
  • Salt – This helps bring all the flavors together. I love using Redmon’s Real Salt, but your favorite salt will work too!
  • Vanilla Extract – This just adds to the warm flavors found in this recipe.
