This fun valentine idea is great for preschool valentines and even the older ones too!

Supplies for Awesome Sauce Valentine

• Free PDF download (see instructions above)
• Color printer
• White cardstock, regular white copy paper, or white sticker paper
• Hole punch (applesauce pouches)
• Ribbon (applesauce pouches)
• Circle punch (optional to cut out round tags)
• Tape, glue, or glue dots (for applesauce cups)
• Wooden spoons (optional for applesauce cups)
• Scissors
• Your choice of applesauce containers: applesauce cups or applesauce pouches

How to Assemble Awesome Sauce Valentine Free Printable

1. First, download the Awesome Sauce Valentine free printable as described previously. Select either the rectangle design for applesauce pouches or the circle design for applesauce cups. 
2. Then, print the design in the amount needed for gifts. Printing on cardstock will make the gift tag more durable, but regular printer paper will work well too.
3. Have your child (or you) write his or her name on the “From” line.
4. Next, use scissors to cut each tag out by following the gray lines.
5. Once you have all the tags cut out:
   1. Applesauce Pouches: Use a hole punch to place a hole in the top center of the card. Then, use your pretty ribbon to attach around the neck of the pouch.
   2. Applesauce Cups: Use tape, glue, or glue dot to secure each circle tag to the top of each applesauce foil lid.

Now your little girl or little boy is ready for fun! Easy peasy!

Tips for Making Awesome Sauce Valentines

• Using white card stock will increase the durability of these cards.
• These free printable valentine tags print on standard 8 ½ X 11 paper size. There are 4 tags per page for the pouches and 6 circle tags per page for the cups.
• These cards do not include a “To” line. As a mother myself, it takes up a lot of time to fill in each child’s name and this makes passing out the goodies quicker and easier.
• If you want to skip trying to attach these with ribbon or tape, you can opt to use white sticker paper. It’s so easy to use. Just print, cut, peel, and stick!
• If you’re using applesauce cups, you could also tie on an optional wooden spoon, so the snack can be consumed immediately.

Additionally, there are so many different applesauce flavors to have fun with! Use strawberry for the added festive color, try some with added veggies, or stick to the original!

I prefer the pouches because I can toss them in the diaper bag and go! There’s no need for a spoon and usually less mess. But Target has adorable Valentine-themed pouches this year that I couldn’t pass up. So if you wanted you can actually use these pouches as they are, because they have include a “to” and “from” area.
